Organizations in industries like financial services, healthcare, and government often retain large amounts of data, not only for operational purposes but also to meet compliance and regulatory requirements. To make this content accessible in the workplace, they may use an OpenText solution like the Extended ECM Platform, which connects all information sources and provides the right people with the right access. For archiving, OpenText Archive Center is the go-to tool.
So far, so good. However, in IT management, dealing with large volumes of content can lead to certain challenges.
Challenges in document management
Monitoring content servers can be particularly time-consuming for larger organizations. Traditional OpenText monitoring and management tools often result in costly downtime, productivity loss, or reduced user adoption. Yet, in order to quickly resolve issues as they arise, maintaining control over your IT solution is key.

How Achmea gained control over document management
Achmea is the cooperative parent company of insurance brands like Centraal Beheer, Interpolis, and Zilveren Kruis. With around 10 million customers, it’s the largest insurance company in the Netherlands—and undoubtedly managing one of the largest data volumes in the local market. Achmea's document management runs on several servers with OpenText Archive Center and Content Server.
The server volume made monitoring activities a time-consuming task. Previously, their IT department used various OpenText tools, such as Content Server Informant, Monitoring Agent, and Performance Analyzer. While these tools worked, it wasn't a very elegant solution. So when they first learned about Fuse, they were thrilled with its simplicity and clarity.
